December Recap and More
So a lot has happened in the past few weeks since I've written. I'm going to try my best to recap what all I can remember at this time. My brain really is failing lately!
Ok here goes, Hayleigh and Chase had their birthday's in December. For Hayleigh's on the 13th we took her to dinner at chinese and then went home to open gifts. We combined their birthday parties on the 20th (pics to follow). I was very sick the week before the 20th with strep throat so my "amazing" plans were ruined. I wanted to go all out and make them a cake that looked like a barn and either cake pops or chocolate lollypops shaped like farm animals. Well, you'll see what they ended up with lol. For Chase's birthday we took him to the truck stop and played the claw machine games for awhile.
Here are some pictures from those days.

More Craziness!
Ok so since my last post. I have been informed that my father-in-law has to stop having his cancer treatments and recover from his pneumonia. Then since his numbers are so high he will have to go to Boston for another form of treatment. A few hours after we found that out my mother told me my grandfather, who is also suffering from bone cancer, has been sent home to be on hospice care. So no more treatments for him what so ever.
A few days later we ran into some sever money trouble and are still trying to recover. Its not as bad any more though and things will be fine after the holidays.
Monday I took Chase to the Dr. again because I can't get enough of that place! and found out he has an ear infection and a ruptured ear drum. Poor baby! They said it will heal and will be ok. He's not in pain anymore because it ruptured. But man that sounds devastating.
My love of the ped's office showed up for me around Monday night. I started feeling achy all over. The next morning I woke up super sore and barely made it through the day. I got a fever that night, and woke up with one Wed. Morning. Well Hayleigh had a school show that night and I couldn't keep her from school. I took her in and explained why I couldn't cook for their bake show. Obviously spreading the joy of "flu" (as I thought I had) was not the kind of joy I'd want to spread :)
Come to find out Thursday, after ANOTHER Dr. visit. I have strep throat. OMG Its so painful, why don't I remember this from being a kid?? Well I'm on meds and it took til SATURDAY for my fever to break and for my throat to somewhat stop hurting. Its still sore & I cough so that sucks. But its not as bad.
UGGH seriously? What have I done to you karma? lol

December 2
Today I had to take all 3 of my kids to the pediatrician's office for their well child check ups. Everything was fine in the car. I used some sort of bribe I can't remember.. lol. I think it was that if they were good we'd set up some holiday lights.
We get to the office and everything is still good in the waiting room. They played and shared well with the other kids. Walking to our room even wasn't a hassle lol, usually they're going in other peoples rooms or running ahead. They were cooperative with the MA and let her weigh them and measure, all that good stuff.
Then it came time to wait for the Dr. ummm that's when all hell broke loose. They were climbing on the exam table, climbing on the trash can (yes the trash can) opening the door, slamming it shut. Whatever could be done was done. Chase even ran down the hallway in just his johnny. Yup so fun! All the while I'm trying to feed Lily so that she doesn't scream her fool head off. Not quite what I'd call fun :)
The dr comes in and Hayleigh says I dont want a shot! over and over. We assure her 10 thousand times that she is in fact NOT getting a shot. She gets all mad when we start talking about her health and development. Keeps trying to talk over us, pulls the paper off the exam table. Whatever. Then Chase is sneaking out the door or climbing on the trash can again. I am trying to talk to the Dr. and reprimand them at the same time. It is NOT easy.
Finally it's time for Chase and Lily to get shots. The girl giving the shots is training and hasn't worked on kids yet. I know this because she was asking a million questions that if she HAD done it, she would know. So yeah my kids were her Guinea pigs. She is standing next to Chase holding his thigh. She starts to get ready to poke him and backs off like 3 times, she's shaking. She says to me "I get really nervous" I'm thinking great.. so glad they ASKED if this was ok. So she STABS it into him and I guess went too far because when she shot the meds in they splattered back out, so who knows if the damn thing even worked! He starts bleeding and screeeeeeeeeeeaming! Then the 2 nurses are talking about the meds squirting out and saying how the vaccines are always made to have more than what is needed to actually vaccinate a person. If that's true.. why??
Lily's went without event.
It was finally time to leave!
We check out, get our books, and leave. I sit in the car and just want to pass out!
I WILL NOT do this alone again.. Thank God I don't have to bring all 3 for another year.. unless they get sick. Lily has an apt. in Feb. so hopefully I only have 2 kids at that time. lol.
*sigh*
needless to say, we did NOT put up Christmas lights :)
